Starting a computer with a ignition switch and a key?
I’m starting a small PC Modding business and for one of my cases I want to install a ignition (like the kind you find in cars) and use a key to turn on the computer. Does any one make something like this or how could I fix a actual car ignition system to do this?
I remember some early PCs had such a key switch on the front, so they are available. You might try some computer flea markets and see if you can find them, or used cases with the switch still attached. An auto ignition switch would be pretty bulky for today’s cases.
