Is it possible to use a tweeter from a stereo speaker in a car instead?
I know home speakers have a impeadance of 8 ohm speakers and car are usually 4 ohms. I was just curious if it would work, because I have some Yamaha home speakers that have busted cabinets. I have a nice Home theater system and have no freedom of movement for the speakers, but I could well use some high-end in my car. These speakers have crossovers in each course in Cabinet constructed. Any advice would be helpful, with the exception of "go buy some 4 ohm tweeter" I am in nursing school so the money is too tight for that. Thank you.
